Also note CPU’s, considering that the Pentium 4 came on the scene, use hyper-threading technology. This enables more than one operation to be performed each clock tick.

As you have seen, 32-bit pcs are capable of performing many calculations rapidly. However, 64-bit systems make them look feeble because partly, they employ dual core processors. So essentially, as opposed to having one hyper-threading CPU at the job, they have two.
