Nokia To Use Windows 7 OS
Nokia were once the premium brand in the mobile phone market, totally dominant, they dicatated trends and what was ‘cool’. Of course I’m going back ten years to the time when I was in high school and mobile phones weren’t just a everyday necessity, they were a marker of coolness and social validation. We could debate for hours about the best network, when we really didn’t know what on earth a network was.
Today, things are both exactly the same and totally different. Cellular technology hs advanced leaps and bounds, in fact they aren’t even called phones anymore, they’re now smart phones. Yeah phones are smart. This essentially means that these phones come equppied with mobile internet browsing capabilities which means you can access the internet where ever you are and view web pages just as you would on Desktop PCs.
So they are the changes, what’s the same? People still seem to find entertainment for debating for hours on end which is the ‘best’ phone, only the debate has been complicated by the separation of hardware and software. Now we must chose from the big 3 – Apple, Google and Windows 7, just like we do with our desktops. iOS is only an option on the Apple iPhone, the hardware and software are inseparable, just like in a motherboard bundle.
It has inspired the smart phone enthusiasts then and sparked more debate that Nokia have recently announced a partnership Microsoft. Nokia will now only use Windows 7 on their phones, just like Samsung and HTC. This will shore up both Nokia’s and Microsoft’s offerings in the smartphone market and increase revenue for both, just like Computer Supplies companies increased their revenue after they started selling in big stores. Windwos 7 is a solid system that allows the multiple publishing social media feeds along with texts, calls and other media you may be interested in, a great system that makes life easier.
