Using Technology And Understanding It Are Two Different Things.

Every time you turn around another upgrade is waiting to be downloaded. The television you bought last year is now obsolete. You need a professional to install your new home theater system, then to show you how to use the remote that goes with it. We use brand new technology every day, and most people do not have the slightest idea how any of it works.

How many people really know what LED backlight is? The truth is we all use them, and they have been around for years. They are not often thought about, and most people just take them for granted as being there. It is almost as if they have become part of the natural world.

In your daily life you may be using the newest and latest and not even know it. The words custom LCD do not mean much to many people, but they are used in a variety of places. We learn how to use them and set them up, but otherwise, we really never learn much about them.

Many people find the jargon that goes with the world of technology to be very overwhelming. It sounds much like a foreign language to most. Graphic LCD is way beyond the scope of many people, even if they use it all the time. When you stop and think about it, most people really take the way our lives are overrun by technology for granted.

Just listening to all of the technical language that readily pours from other people can leave others wondering if they had entered another country and not known it. Why that is may remain a mystery forever. It is not as though this is the only field with a specific set of vocabulary. Others, such as those in the medical, or in insurance, have their own language too, yet we are not particularly intimidated by it. The fact that this language is constantly evolving and changing may have something to do with it.

For most people what all of this really means is that when something goes wrong, they are unable to fix the problem on their own. They have to call someone who knows the language and can interpret the user manual.

When you stop and really think about the amount of technology that we encounter everyday you may be surprised. It seems that one thing replaced another, and then that was improved, and upgraded, until it no longer resembles the original at all. Somewhere along the lines most of us stopped noticing.
