Nikon has succeeded again and appears to be a leader in the DSLR field. This spectacular new camera, which replaces the outdated D80, is all you need to take the best photos in the world. This camera has many of the same features as the D300 (and even some improvements), but is lighter.

With its much lower price tag, Nikon’s smartest DSLR can give the D3 and D300 a run for their money. Of course there is always a lot of fluff added to a new prosumer camera in order to catch the eye of those who are not in the know, but there is also a lot of very useful groundbreaking improvements in the Nikon D90 that just are not offered in the D80, or D300 for that matter.

If you are looking for a camera in the range of one thousand dollars, you can’t go wrong with this one. With it you will get much of what establishes the $5,000 D3 as extraordinary, and at a portion of the cost. You will notice the bright and beautiful 3-inch LCD right away. The colors are vivid and accurate.
