Clock Radios Are Great In Many Ways
Clocks that have an alarm are very helpful for maintaining schedules. Most people use some type of alarm clock to help them get up each morning in time to get ready for the day’s activities. A clock radio is even more useful than a normal alarm clock, however because it has the additional stimulation of music and voice.
Clock radios provide news, information and music to start off the day right and to go beyond just an alarm call. Many have snooze buttons for short intervals that allow the user to catch another few moments of peaceful sleep before the radio comes back on.
Clock radios can be set at any volume desired from soft and quiet to loud and obnoxious. By having the clock radio located away from the bed, the sleeper is forced to get up to turn the alarm or radio off. Usually the clock radio is set close enough to the bed for the sleeper to just reach over and tap the snooze bar.
Alarms are jarring and do their intended purpose. Clock radios are much friendlier and become a morning companion to those who are living alone. Some have multiple alarm settings. This is useful if there are two persons who need to arise at different times, or if a person needs to have an alarm setting for two different times of day. For most persons clock radios are preferred over regular alarm clocks.
Many alarms, including clock radios, have back batteries so the timing continues even during a power outage. They are available in digital or analog format and many have back lighting or glow in the dark features. One of the nicest advantages that clock radios have over normal alarm clocks is the sleep timer function that allows the user to gently drift off to sleep while listening to the radio.
